There was no danger, no margin for error. Everything flowed with almost poetic ease. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing. Or at least, that’s what they thought.

The plan made perfect sense in their minds: a precise move, a flawless calculation, an impeccable execution. They never even considered the slightest failure. But reality is an expert at proving that confidence without proof is just blind optimism.

And so, in the blink of an eye, fate stepped in to remind them that what seemed simple in their heads was, in fact, a recipe for disaster.

BIKE CROSSING

In many cities, there's an unwritten rule about the direction of movement on sidewalks, following the flow of traffic, meaning riding on the right side (if your country drives on the right), but these rules aren't formalized or universally recognized. If we did, pedestrian flow on sidewalks would be smoother, and speaking of pedestrians on sidewalks, that also goes for bikes at pedestrian crossings.
